Hugh G. Bowman Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hugh G. Bowman of Maquoketa, Iowa, who passed away on November 14, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Bowman and Florence Bowman (Goetz); his brother Don Bowman; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Adrian, Judy Cox, Joan McDonald, Donna Whitmore, Betty Whitmore, Dwain "Curley" Bruhn, Jack Roster, Dennis Cox, Edward Whitmore, Gary Whitmore and William Whitmore.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lee Whitmore; his sons, Michael (Deborah), Robert (Joanie), William (Barbara), Tod (Renee) and Kevin (Mary); his grandchildren, Rebecca Stonawski (Ondrej), Elizabeth Feist (Cameron), Amanda Porter (Simon), Kate Meinecke (Michael), Jacob Bowman, Ara J. Bowman (Kristin), Adam Bowman (Kristin), Beau Bowman, Levi Bowman, Adeline Bowman, Lucas Bowman and Jack Bowman; his sister Lois; his brother-in-law Max Widner; and also, Erma "Corky", Betty Roster, Karen Opala, Rena McGee (Archie), Denyce Weimers (Steve), Richard Whitmore (Sherrill), Steve Whitmore, Bill McDonald and Lyle Adrian. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
Cause of death was COVID-19 Pneumonia.
In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund in the name of Hugh and Mary Bowman will be established.
