He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley and Frances McCray (O'Connors); and his siblings, George, Danny Simms, Penny Geerts, Dorothy Bormann and Marie Kirchner.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara McCray of Maquoketa, IA; his daughters, Christina Hennings (Tim) of Bettendorf, IA and Jennifer DeWitt (Dave) of Maquoketa, IA; his godson Eric Bormann (Tracy) of Morrison, IL; his grandchildren, Jaden, Cali and Levi; his stepgrandchildren, Joseph Hennings and Lynsey Kaufman (Isaac); and his sister Charlin Nolan (Fred) of Sterling, IL..
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be directed to the Hurstville Interpretive Center.
