He is survived by: his wife LeAnn Widel of Maquoketa; his daughters, Abby Widel of Eldridge and Lexi Ballantine (Ian) of Davenport, Iowa; his siblings, Dick Widel (Beth) of Maquoketa, Judy Carr of Maquoketa and Joyce Majerus (Rich) of Sycamore, Illinois; his brothers-in-law, Loren Rockwell (Patty) and Stacey Rockwell (Darcie) of Maquoketa; and his stepgrandson Liam Ballantine. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A reception was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Eagles Club (1102 E Platt St, Maquoketa, IA 52060).
