We are sad to announce that on September 25, 2022, at the age of 73, Rebecca L. Clasen of Maquoketa, Iowa, born in Des Moines, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rebecca L. Clasen to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Clarence Anderson and Shirley Anderson (Schuling); her husband Loren Clasen; and her nephews, Michael and Thomas Clasen.

She is survived by : her children, Kelly Ihns (Patrick) of Grain Valley and Loren Clasen (Jennifer) of Stockton; her grandchildren, Taylor Chase (Sam), Dustin Ihns (Kristin), Jarrett and Logan; her great grandchildren, Quinn, Maddox and Maren; her sisters, Kathleen Butkovich (Joseph) of Broomfield and Peggy Head-Costello (Kenneth) of Maquoketa; and her close friend Randy Reed of Preston.

Memorials may be directed to Jackson County Humane Society, Jackson County Hospice or International RETT Syndrome Foundation in her honor.

“Continued: Rebecca L. Clasen from the Family of Rebecca .Clasen.”

“It’s kind of weird. I’ve never met another person with the same name as my mother. Do to unforeseen circumstances two women named Rebecca Clasen died in a very short period of time. Not only were the last names of each the same but they were both 73 at the time of their deaths. My mother was born in 1948 the other Rebecca in 1949 . Make no mistake, I know this is a coincidence, yet I feel that there may be a reason this happened. I want to extend my sincere condolences to the family of Rebecca”
