She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Alphonse J. Welinski and Emily Welinski (McGough); her husband James "Jim" Prior; her sons, Daniel Prior (Tammy) of Dayton and Matthew Stevens (Sheila) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; her siblings, Theresa Kelsey of Phoenix and David Welinski of Mount Vernon, Iowa; her son Jay Robert Stevens; her brothers, Alan, Patrick and John Welinski; and also, Jeremy Davis, Emma and Chase. She was also cherished by 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
