She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Gorsch and Marian Gorsch (Bral). She is survived by: her children, Austin Alexander (Alyssa) of Des Moines and Kyra Thys (Mitchell) of Hartwick; her grandchildren, Karter Thys, William and Ryan Alexander; her siblings, Janet Emerson (Doug) of Marengo, JoAnn Long (Scott) of Blairstown and Jeff Gorsch of Marengo; Tyler Alexander (Michelle) of North Liberty. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Homes - Marengo (298 W Washington St, Marengo, IA 52301). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (957 Western Ave, Marengo, IA 52301).
A memorial fund has been established for Marengo Senior Dining and St. Patrick's Catechism.
