It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Borgenson of Marion, Iowa, born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on January 24, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, C. Lee Hiltbrunner and Clarice Hiltbrunner (Buchan); and her brother Curtis Lee Hiltbrunner, II. She is survived by: her former husband Carl E. Spicher, Jr.; her husband James J. Borgenson; and her sons, Stephen Spicher (Marlene) of Punta Gordo, FL, Craig Spicher (Paulette) and Gary Spicher of Cedar Rapids, IA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granddaughters; one niece; two nephews; and several cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions maybe made in her name to the American Cancer Society, the Cedar Rapids Humane Society, and/or Mercy Hospice.
