He was predeceased by: his father Dennis Murphy, Sr.; and his grandparents, Henry Knutson and Alice Knutson. He is survived by: his mother Lois Knutson of Marion; his uncle Lyle Knutson (Dianna) of Robins; his children, Malachi Knutson, Gabriel Knutson of Windsor Heights, Jon Knutson and Ari of Hopkins; and also, Kim Ammons, Mark Ammons, Michael, David of Cedar Rapids, Jennifer, Bill Burge, Brandy, Megan of Mitchellville and Christopher Knutson.
