He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Meier and Anna Strong Meier; and his siblings, Alice Ann Sypal and Dale Meier. He is survived by: his wife Valeta King of Marion; and his daughters, Micky Kelly (Jim) of Mt. Pleasant, Sandy Benning (Arnie) of Waterloo and Cindy Nelson (Dev) of Marion. He is also survived by five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
