He was predeceased by: his father Milton Sopousek; and his siblings-in-law, Rick Hurlbert and Betty Streff. He is survived by: his mother Teresa Sopousek (Snitil) of Cedar Rapids; his wife Sue Sopousek of Marion; his children, Jason Sopousek (Anne) of Cedar Rapids, Chad Sopousek (Heather) of Independence, Iowa and Lindsay Travagiakis (Eric) of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Ben, Rexton, Patrick, Hunter and Madison; and his siblings, Dave Sopousek of Cedar Rapids, Dennis Sopousek (Gayle) of Swisher, Susan Parker (John) of North Carolina and Christine Hurlbert (John Grier) of Iowa City, Iowa. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Don's memory may be made to either Hospice of Mercy or Mercy Heart Center.
