It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Donna Leigh (Armstrong) Schoon (Marion, Iowa), born in Anamosa, Iowa, who passed away on April 22, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Armstrong and Leoma Armstrong; her siblings, Shirley Clarke (Ernest), Dale Armstrong (Violet) and Leon Shaffer; her son-in-law Thomas Hackbarth; and her siblings-in-law, Wilma Schoon, Ella Helm, Ida Bauserman (Charles), Mildred Chposky (George), Pauline Husmann (Merle), Harlan Schoon, Marvin Schoon, Galen Schoon, Dillon Mead and Paul Ernie Paulsen.
She is survived by: her former spouses, Eva Delancey and Leland L. Schoon; her husband Lee; her daughters, Sandra Kuhn (Jack) of Ramsey, Linda Henze (Paul) of Marion and Pamela Hackbarth (Bob) of Cedar Rapids; her siblings, Carol Clark (Paul) of Dubuque and George Armstrong (Pat) of Marion; and her siblings-in-law, Nelda Mead of Center Junction, Cherol Schoon of Hutchinson, Evelyn Paulsen of Monticello, Mary Eilers of Anamosa, Shirley Schoon of Anamosa, Dorothy Shaffer of Mt. Vernon and Neil Schoon (Pat) of Anamosa. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will not be having a public memorial at this time.
