He is survived by: his mother Susan Detert; his son Bryce M. Bumbarger; his siblings, Russell Detert (Kelly) of Marion and Heather Stivers (James) of Springville; his aunts, Vicki Bumbarger of Marion and Lisa Ciha (Kevin) of Coggon; and also Cherie Ritchie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Dustin's memory.
