She was predeceased by: her husband Paul Norris Smith; her son Dennis; and her siblings, William (WB), Kerns Jr. (Junior), Louise Longcor, Phyllis Piagentini, Frieda Davis, Naomi Rutzinski and Martha Anderson.
She is survived by: her children, Carol Schurman (Larry), Jeff Smith (Amy) of Knoxville and Mary Smith (David Rutter) of Payson; her daughter-in-law Dorcas Smith of Eldridge; her brother John Applegate of Knoxville; and her grandchildren, Darren Smith (Thanom) of Knoxville, Terrilynn Zickel (Dan) of Knoxville, Brian DesPlanque of Knoxville, Amanda Ahrens (Adam) of Knoxville, Holly Burkhart (Bill) of Knoxville, Josh Thompson (Ashley) of Knoxville, Adel of Knoxville, Ethan Smith of Knoxville and Kaden Smith of Knoxville. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
