It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanne Gorton of Marion, Iowa, born in Waterloo, Iowa, who passed away on August 24, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold L. Miller and Leona F. Miller (Bedard); her sister Nancy M. Ehr (Miller); her brother-in-law Paul E. Gorton; her nephew Brian Gorton; and her parents-in-law, Walter and Pauline Gorton (Klipping).
She is survived by: her husband Thomas R. Gorton; her children, Chris T. (Vicki) of Richland, WA, Steve A. (Doris) of Stevensville, MI, Laura J. Humphrey (Andy) of Atkins and Tim J. (Rose) of Marion; her grandchildren, Zach Gorton (Danielle) of Richland, Brandon Gorton (Alicia) of Richland, Michael, Jennifer Gorton of St Joseph, MI, Sethh, Jacob Humphrey (Micheala) of Atkins, Gabe Humphrey (Laura) of Cedar Rapids, Colin Gorton of Marion, Connor Gorton of Ames, Carson Gorton of Helena, MT and Matthias Gorton of Marion; her great grandchildren, Thomas, Abigail Gorton of Richland, WA, Zoe and Eli Gorton of Richland, WA.; her brothers, Larry Miller (Pat) of LaPorte City and Nick Miller (Christine) of Waterloo; and her siblings-in-law, Cheryl Dutcher (Dale), Joan Butler (Jerry), Marie Gorton of Marion and Bob Gorton (Susan) of Marion. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
