Karen Vavra Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karen Vavra of Marion, Iowa, who passed away on June 25, 2020 at the age of 69. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Karen Vavra to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Picciano and Inez Picciano (Morelli); and her daughter Georgia. She is survived by: her husband Steve Vavra of Marion; her sons, Joshua Reznicow (Karen) of Marion and Samuel Reznicow (Michelle) of Elk River, MN; her grandchildren, Andrea, Aiden, Ethan and Noah; her brother Raymond Picciano of Englewood, NJ; and her pets, Nietzsche, Dempsey, Silas and Slade. She is also survived by the children she raised as a stay at home mother.
In lieu of flowers, the family has respectfully requested that any memorial contribution be made to one of the charities that Karen supported: Canine Companions for Independence, Humane Society of the Untied States, Catholic Charities, Alley Cat Allies.
