Lenore Alexander Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lenore Alexander (Marion, Iowa), who passed away on February 19, 2022 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, LeRoy Layer and Gladys Layer (Joyce); her husband Richard Alexander of Marion; and her sisters, Marian Bangle and Margaret Gonzalez.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Hajny (Robert) of Walnut Creek, Janet Alexander (Louise Hagen) of Decorah and Susan Alexander (Scott Peterson) of Mt. Vernon, Iowa.; her grandchildren, Kristin Hajny (Lior Zadok), Derek Hajny (Megan), Liam Murphy (Cerrisa Snethen-Murphy), Conor Murphy (Elsa McCarger), Evan Peterson (Jena White) and Tobyn Peterson; her great grandchildren, Maya Hajny Fernandez, Addy Peterson, Patrick Peterson, Jack Murphy, Lucy Hajny and Flynn Murphy; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Orie Zadok and Ahmi Zadok. She is also survived by children were grown, Lenore became a foster mom.
