He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Bishop and Henrietta Bishop (Burch); his wife Ella Jean Bishop; and his brothers, Phil Bishop, John Bishop and Bob Bishop.
He is survived by: his children, Janet Drey (David) of Des Moines, Carol Armstrong (Harold) of Shakopee, MN, Jerry Bishop (Lori) of Des Moines, LuAnn Rinard (Jeff May) of Des Moines, Dennis Bishop (Dana) of Omaha, Jim Bishop (Leanne) of Eagan, MN, Ray Bishop (Carol) of Aurora, IL, Tom Bishop of Lacona, Jeff Bishop of Indianola and Joe Bishop (Tara) of New York, NY; and his siblings, Dolores Copic of Glendale, AZ, Donna Schmidt of Surprise, AZ and Bill Bishop of Highland, IL. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to Hospice of Pella, Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund, or the Christian Opportunity Center in Indianola.
