She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Kelchen and Irma Kelchen (Maiers); her stepmother Marianna; and her brother Randy Kelchen. She is survived by: her children, Clint Rankin (Jenny Lee), Jill Rankin and Jerod Rankin; her grandchildren, Devin VanZee, Cole Collingwood, Marcus Rankin and Jacob Rankin; her siblings, Larry Kelchen of Strawberry Point, Steve Kelchen (Mary) of Anamosa, Deb Leonard (John) of Ryan and Kathy Schmidt (Daniel) of Dyersville; her parent-in-law Jan Kelchen of Cedar Falls; and her former husband Kevin Rankin.

Memorials may be directed to the American Heart/Stroke Foundation.
