She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmie Spurgeon and Marceline Spurgeon (Steen); her husband Alva "Ab" Fortner; her granddaughter Angel Lass; and her brother James Spurgeon.
She is survived by: her children, Janet Davis (Jim) of Marion, Robert Fortner (Patty) of Marion, Bonnie Gutierrez (Jerramie) of Marion and Jimmie Fortner (Susan) of Palo, Iowa; her grandchildren, Michelle DeVore (Jay), Joshua Davis (Kassi), Caleb Davis (Maggie), Rachel Davis, Trisha Fortner, Garrett Fortner, Katie Fortner, Blake Fortner, Tyler Fortner (Nicole), Dillon Lass (Jonalyn) and Jamie Lass; her great grandchildren, Bentley Chekal, Briella Davis, Dominic Fortner, Kane Lass and Layla Lass; and her brother Eldon Spurgeon (Betty) of Eldon, Iowa. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
