It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lyle Howard Hughes of Marion, Iowa, born in Belmond, Iowa, who passed away on November 14, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, DeRush Hughes and Ada Hughes (Shahan); and his siblings, Lee, Gary, Darwin, Keith Hughes, Barb Pals, Virginia Mennenga and Lola Hughes.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Hughes of Marion; his children, Matt Hughes (Darlene) of Cedar Rapids, Russ Hughes (Marcia) of Anamosa and Sarah Bennett (Tim) of Marion; and his siblings, Paul Hughes (Judy) of Mesa, Becky Frerichs (Steve) of Steamboat Rock and Linda Helland of Eldora, Iowa. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
