She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Newberry and Laura Newberry (Schwertgefer); her husband Marvin Garringer; her grandson Christopher; her brothers, LaVerne and Wendall Newberry; and her daughter-in-law Cheryl Garringer.
She is survived by: her children, Steve Garringer of Marion, Stan Garringer (Connie) of Cedar Rapids, Stuart Garringer (Ginger) of Cedar Rapids, Stacey Garringer of Marion and Suzanne Hamilton of East Moline, Illinois; her grandchildren, Matt, Lisa, Mark, Shawn, Krystal, Nina, Justin, Jennifer, Nichole, Erin and Sarah; and her sister Sandra Day of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
