With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Ann Geers (Marion, Iowa), born in New Vienna, Iowa, who passed away on April 20, 2018 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hoefler and Lucille Hoefler (Huegelmann); her brother Arnold Hoefler; and her parents-in-law, Gerhard Geers and Frieda Geers.
She is survived by: her husband Aloysius "Al"; her children, Robert Geers (Stephanie) of Cedar Rapids, Roger Geers (Judy) of Urbana, Donna Wolf (Dan) of Plano, Dianne Moyer (Tim) of Coggon and Randy Geers (Kelly) of Northglenn; her grandchildren, Kristin Stakland (Eric), Elizabeth Kaiser, Jacob Geers (Erica), Cory Geers (Katie), Brian Moyer (Hallie), Luke Geers (Dominique), Laura Geers, Chelsie Geers, Quinn Wolf, Joel Geers, Kyle Wolf and Ian Ortiz (Lauren); her siblings, Germaine Schilling, John Hoefler, Clarence "Clem" Hoefler (Joan), Eileen Simon (Jim) and Dave Hoefler (Joyce); and also, Mary Ellen Hoefler, Rosie Klien, Ed Geers, Bud Geers (Bonnie), Fritz Geers (Mary), Bill Geers (Ginny), Gertie Hunt (Ralph), Steve Geers (Lila), Charlie Geers (Vicki), Clara Cole (Jack), Sharon Wiskus and Pat Geers. She is also survived by wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Mary Ann's memory.
