She was predeceased by: her husband John; her siblings, Paul Gatens, Rita Garwood and Gaylene Lowder; and her parents, Paul Gatens and Helen Geiger Gatens.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Harris (Jeff) of Marion, Lisa Spelman (John) of Farmington, MN, Charles (Kathy) of Marion, Douglas (Barbara) of Cedar Rapids, Ronald (Janet) of Hiawatha and James (Dee Ann) of Cordova, TN. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
