With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Lee Dircks (Marion, Iowa), born in Clarence, Iowa, who passed away on December 2, 2021 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Darrel Dircks and Irma Dircks (Hulse); and his grandparents, Emil, Frieda Dircks (Reinking), Richard and Eleanor Hulse (Boettcher).
He is survived by: his wife Pamela "Pam" Miller; his daughter Monica Walz (Matt) of Marion; his granddaughters, Brooklyn and Emmaline Walz; his siblings, Robert Dircks (Diane) of Tipton and Rosalyn (Bob) of Ames; his uncle Senator Merlin Hulse of Tipton; and his siblings-in-law, Karen Bentrott (Craig) of Loveland, CO. and Bob (Barbara) of Hot Springs, SD.. He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews.
All guests are respectfully requested to wear a mask.
Memorials may be directed to the family and will be distributed to Kennedy High School Athletics and the Marion Fire Department.
