He was predeceased by: his siblings, Arwin, Sylvia Schmaedeke and Loretta Keuch. He is survived by: his sons, Mark (Amy), David Stuenkel of Villa Hills and Thomas (Carolyn); his grandchildren, Allison Stuenkel, Elliott Stuenkel and Julia Stuenkel; his parents, Otto Stuenkel and Amanda Stuenkel (Kampe); and his spouse Lorraine Schultz.

Memorial donations may be given to Unity Point Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
