He was predeceased by: his daughter Judy Mock (Robert); and his stepdaughter Shannon Kellum (Sean). He is survived by: his wife Thelma Hinkle; his children, Nancy Holloway (Chester) and Tim Hinkle (Shannon); his stepson Scott Howard (Pam); his grandchildren, Kimberly (Matt), Kevin, Andrew, Ashley (Mike) and Dylan; his great grandchildren, Joshua, Benjamin, Laken, Landon and Savannah; and his sister Virginia Hinkle.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church for the proposed expansion for additional children's space.
