It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Valeta Whitehead (Marion, Iowa), born in Alburnett, Iowa, who passed away on March 3, 2018, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Harry; her brothers, Harold Kirk, Elzo Kirk and Clifford Kirk; and her grandchildren, Shelli Black, Shawn Black and Shannon Black.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Black (Paul), Susan Batchelder (late Cliff), Mike Whitehead (Kris), Margaret Shore (Jonathan), Lisa Seyring (Erik) and Lana Ortega; and her grandchildren, Shana Malinski (Black), Aubree Cupitt (Black), Bryan Batchelder, Cari Kaut (Whitehead), Denise Hale (Whitehead), Jessica Shore, Matthew Shore, Jackie Seyring, Peter Seyring, Allison Ortega and Evan Ortega. She is also survived by wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
