It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Sue Turner of Marshalltown, Iowa, born in Montezuma, Iowa, who passed away on February 12, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Figland and Margaret Figland (Graham); her husband James Leroy Turner Sr.; and her siblings, Charles Thomas, Margaret Watt, Sheldon Figland, Grace Hoover, Chester Figland and Mary Stevens.

She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Himes (Leroy) of Marshalltown, James Leroy Turner (Jeanne) of Marion, Iowa and Terri Turner of Marshalltown; her grandchildren, Daniel Counts of Marshalltown, Gary Counts (Kimberly) of Newton, Hannah Himes of Marshalltown, Shelby Butcher (Ryan) of Marshalltown, Page Shattuck of Marshalltown, Tiffany and Ozzy Smith of Marshalltown; her great grandchildren, Eli, Noah Butcher, Summer, Nathan, Victoria Counts, Brooklyn Miller and Blake Dupee; her brother David Figland (Portia) of Oskaloosa; and her siblings-in-law, Linda Goemaat (Figland) and Jerry Turner (Kathy). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
