We are sad to announce that on November 15, 2021, at the age of 91, Gerald Duane Schaudt of Marshalltown, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Schaudt and Alma Schaudt (Queensland); his former spouse Eleaner Vespestad; his wife Kathryn Twit Wilson; his parents-in-law, Nels and Ethel Vespestad; his brothers, Bill Schaudt and King Schaudt; and his siblings-in-law, Glenn Roxberg, Wayne Dotts, Fern Schaudt and Helen Schaudt.
He is survived by: his daughters, Wanda Sporrer and Brenda Kirsteatter (Greg) of Troy Grove, IL; his grandchildren, Jared Kirsteatter (Hallie Konieczki) of LaSalle, IL and Alissa Ferguson (Ian) of Paulding, OH; his children, Sonda Kirsteatter (Wade) of Marion and Dane Schaudt (Donna) of Pella; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn of Chicago, IL, Karissa of Chicago, IL, Kollin of Marshalltown and Kara of Ankeny; his son Gary Schaudt of Marshalltown; his great grandchildren, Monroe Kirsteatter, Samuel, Henry and Brynn Ferguson; his stepdaughters, Lynn Fritz (Jim) of Bellingham, WA, Diana Rosenberg and Lisa Wilson (Todd Morgan); his sister Janice Roxberg of Des Moines; his sister-in-law Lucy Schaudt of Ankeny; his son-in-law Jerry Sporrer; his stepson David Wilson; Marilyn Dotts of Indianola, Hubert Vespestad (Peggy) of Farrar, Helen Ringgenberg (Lenny) of Des Moines and Robert Vespestad (Summer) of Slater.
In lieu of flowers, Gerald requested memorials be directed to: Slater Area Historical Association, First Presbyterian Church of Marshalltown, or Marshalltown Community Auditorium Foundation.
