It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gertrude Pennington of Marshalltown, Iowa, born in Gideon, Missouri, who passed away on October 11, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilson Brown and Grace Brown (Osborne); her husband Dennis Bornholdt; her daughter Debbie Stotts; her grandson Daniel Schroeder; and her great grandchild Chyanne Wind.
She is survived by: her significant other Charles Pennington (Chuck); her children, Chuck, Linda Schroeder (David) of San Antonio, Brad Pennington (Kathy) of Marshalltown and Audrey McConnell (Skip) of Eldora; and her brothers, Dale Brown of Missouri and Norman Brown of Kansas. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and 27 great great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to Redeemer Lutheran Church or Iowa River Hospice, both of Marshalltown.
