He is survived by: his children, James N. Lair (Betsy M.) and Lois E. Lair (Tom Lane); his granddaughters, Angela McCann-Lair (Jason O'Connell) and Elizabeth Gerhard (Adrian); and his great grandchildren, James Fuhrken, Evan Fuhrken and Clara Gerhard. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and their spouses.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Friends Church.
