It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Hood of Marshalltown, Iowa, who passed away on July 8, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Hood and Loretta Hood (Neely); his wife Evelyn Bass; and his siblings, Doug and Ruth Jackson.
He is survived by: his former spouse Shirley Ballard; his daughters, Kay Toler of Manchester, TN, Sara Nelson of Marshalltown, IA, Sheryl Smith of Marshalltown, IA, Jana Nichols of Indianola, IA and Dawn Hogan (Randy) of Woden, TX; and his stepson Jack Bass of Minnesota. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
