With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirlee Marie Beurskens of Marshalltown, Iowa, who passed away on April 14, 2024 at the age of 84. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Shirlee Marie Beurskens to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, James Dewey and Gladys Walton (Reeves); her stepfather Nick Patakitos; her husband James Beurskens; her children, Dean Beurskens, Carol Snider, Joseph Beurskens and Cary Beurskens; her daughter-in-law Jodi Beurskens; her grandson Zack Beurskens; and her grandson-in-law Cody Reutter.

She is survived by : her grandchildren, Jillisa Harvey (Ryan) of Le Grand, Jennifer Snider (Michael Hicks) of Marshalltown, Ryan Beurskens of Phoenix, AZ, James Beurskens of Phoenix, AZ, Crissy Reutter of Blue Hill, NE, Haleigh Beurskens of Nebraska, Hunter Beurskens of Wilber, NE, Dani Gavagan (James) of Marshalltown and Andy Beurskens; and her sisters, Nancy Lee Suey (Roger) of Fremont, NE and Joyce Elaine Elliott of Marshalltown. She is also survived by 21 great – grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home (1209 Iowa Ave W, Marshalltown, IA 50158). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Riverside Cemetery (611 N Center St, Marshalltown, IA 50158).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Family of Shirlee.
