Shirley Arends Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Arends of Marshalltown, Iowa, born in Hillman, Minnesota, who passed away on July 31, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Raymond Thompson and Martha Thompson (Nieken); her husband Harold Arends; her daughters, Marlys Moore (Kendall) and Patricia Richards (Phil); her grandchildren, Kyle Moore (Lindsay Walters), Todd Moore, Alison Richards, Harrison Richards (Kate) and Amy Richards; her sisters, Darlene Henkemeyer (Jim), Sandy Nagel and Marian Handeland; and her siblings-in-law, David Nagel, Elayne Gunderson (Norman), Audrey Stubbe (Wayne) and Roger (Phyllis Arends).
