He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Francis Macon Counts and Virginia Garisch Counts; his wife Rebecca Counts of Forest City; his granddaughter Melissa Counts; his great grandchild Elijah Neuhaus of Dubuque, Iowa; his grandsons, Reed Counts of San Francisco, California, Stefan Counts of Boston, Massachusetts and David Counts (Kajsa Newlin); his great grandchild Nicholas "Mac" Counts of Boston Massachusetts; and his brother James Counts (Jeanne Counts). He was also cherished by his four children.
