He was predeceased by: his wife Lois Schwade; his parents, John Schwade and Eleanor Schwade; his brothers, Gerald and Don Schwade; his parents-in-law, Charles and Margaret Moon (Dunbar); his siblings-in-law, Debra Severson (Moon), Michael Moon and Bob Sheriff; and his grandparents, William, Elizabeth Baack (Stromer), Willie and Ella Schwade (Bohnsack).
He is survived by: his children, Justin Schwade (Frank Heimes) of Munich, Germany and Jessica Van Vark (Brad); his grandsons, William of Pella and Jarrett Van Vark of Pella; his sister Betty Sheriff of Des Moines; his siblings-in-law, Kathy Schwade of Nora Springs, Sherry Wallis of Farmington, AR and Chuck Moon of Osage; and his close friend Juanita Pierce. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, as well as extended family.
