With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Heather Nicole Mennen of Mason City, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 3, 2025 at the age of 22. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Gordon, Patricia Mennen and Daniel Ballard; her uncles, Gary and Terry Mennen; and her cousin Jason Mennen.
She is survived by: her parents, Douglas Mennen and Kendra Mennen (Ballard) of Mason City; her pet Shyla; her siblings, Nick Mennen (Jackie Whitlow) of Van Meter, Ben Mennen (Dileana) of Ankeny and Elizabeth Mennen (Logan West) of Plymouth, MN; her siblings' children, Keaton, Khloe, Karsen, Kambrie and Elliott; her grandmother Brenda Ballard; and her aunts and uncles, Michele Anderson (James), Monica Barnes (Dave), Loretta Ellsworth (Jim), Gordon Mennen (Vickie), Nancy Mennen, Jim Mennen (Kris) and Valerie Mennen-McClary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in care of Heather's family to be gifted to organizations that have played a part in Heather's medical journey.
