He is survived by: his father Helmer Hjelle; his wife Patty; his daughter Jessica Hjelle of Mason City; his grandchildren, Madelynn Ward, Trinity Ward, Max Ward, Riddick Ward, Nathan Ward, Alex Hjelle, Josye Ward, Antonio Perez, Micheal Perez and Nikolai Perez; his siblings, Larry Hjelle (Margaret), Sally Anderson (Gary), Marty Hjelle (Nancy) and Robin Hjelle; and his son-in-law Miguel Perez. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
