He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Strathman and Mignon Strathman (Bunting); his wife ShirleyDee Hilleary; his sisters, Donna Larsen and Janice Stender; his brothers-in-law, Bob Stender, Warren Larsen, Jack Hilleary and Morris Hilleary; and his niece Melinda Larsen.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Keil (Bob) of Thompson, Steven Strathman (Pam) of Edina and Michael Strathman (Sharon) of Tempe, Arizona; his grandchildren, Jason Keil, Kristine Perkins, Michael Strathman, Benjamin Strathman, Ashley Strathman, Katie Lugar, David Strathman and Andrew Strathman; and his siblings-in-law, Joy Curtis (Bruce), Paula Hilleary and Bud Hilleary. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (119 S Georgia Ave, Mason City, IA 50401). A memorial service was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed towards First United Methodist Church or the donor's choice.
