She was predeceased by : her parents, Leo Tisor and Irene Tisor (Angelides); her husband Richard Allen Peterson; her brother Larry Tisor (Becky); and her stepfather Leo Kearney.

She is survived by : her daughters, Rebecca Peterson and Laurel Peterson Redmond; her grandchildren, Kaitlin Clough (Ben), Abby Redmond (Andy Camper) and Libby Gargano (Christian); and her brothers, Tom Tisor (Luci) and Jon Tisor (Karen). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 2nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Major Erickson Funeral Home (111 N Pennsylvania Ave, Mason City, IA 50401).

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family of Sharon Peterson. All memorial contributions will go to the North Iowa Humane society and the MercyOne North Iowa 6 West Heart Unit.
