She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Whorley and Florence Whorley (Martin); her husband Warren Frelund; and her brothers, Bill Whorley and Fred Whorley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jeanne Cornick (Jim) of Mason City, Liz Croston (Jeff) of Sioux City, Iowa and Molly Anderegg (Mike) of Mason City; her grandchildren, Jenna Leirer (Julian), Jess Cornick, Nicholas Croston (Caitlyn), Emily Croston, Patrick Anderegg and Emma Anderegg; and her great grandchild Hayden Croston.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Major Erickson Funeral Home (111 N Pennsylvania Ave, Mason City, IA 50401). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John's Episcopal Church (120 1st St NE, Rice, MN 56367).
Memorials may be directed in Sue's memory to Girl Scout Camp Tanglefoot (Clear Lake, Iowa), St. John's Episcopal Church (Mason City, Iowa) or the Alzheimer's Association.
