Lyle McConnell Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lyle McConnell of Mediapolis, Iowa, born in Sutherland, Nebraska, who passed away on January 28, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lynn McConnell and Dora Ann McConnell (Coates). He is survived by: his wife Candice McConnell of Mediapolis; his sons, Mark McConnell (Heather) of Pella and Nate McConnell of Le Claire; his grandchildren, Luke, Kallen and Atalyssa McConnell; his brothers, Jim McConnell (Sue) of Ogden and Fay McConnell (Melody) of Stanley, VA; his mother-in-law Avonell Simpson of Jefferson; and his brothers-in-law, Stan Simpson of Sioux City and Kelly Simpson (Amy) of Ankeny. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Masks will be required and social distancing will be observed.

Memorials may be left to the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation in memory of Lyle.
