Brian Sanders Obituary
Services for Brian Scott Sanders, 56, of rural Lacona, will be held Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas. Family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made in care of Brian's family.
Brian Scott Sanders was born in Des Moines on December 11, 1968, to Duane and Lola (Hathaway) Sanders. He attended school in Saydel and then moved and graduated from Dexter-Redfield High School in 1987.
Brian married Bonnie Jean McCarl on August 24, 2013. He welcomed Bonnie's daughters: Cheyanna and Jasmine and treated them like his own, complete with arguing and lots of laughter.
Brian was a jack of all trades and really could do anything from fixing a car, wiring a house, or mowing the yard, but he did it his way! He enjoyed fishing, camping, and watching wrestling with the grandkids and sometimes just wrestling with the grandkids. Brian had a big heart and always enjoyed his family.
Brian passed away on August 5th in an accident. Preceding him in death was his mother, Lola Sanders.
He will be greatly missed by his father Duane Sanders; wife, Bonnie Sanders; stepchildren: Cheyanna (Scott) and Jasmine (Jadin); grandchildren: Natalia, Rezric, and Myah; and siblings: Mike Sanders, Cavin (Jeanie) Sanders, and Donna Sanders; father-in-law, Clayton Cowles; nieces and nephews: Mikey, Daland, Cinda, Summer, Kevin Jr., Melanie, Michael, James, Cavin Jr., Cassie, Crystal, Mia, and Thasmine; along with a host of relatives and friends.
