Philip A. Birk III Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 6, 2020, at the age of 83, Philip A. Birk III of Middle Amana, Iowa, born in Knoxville, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Birk II and Genevieve Birk; his wife Beverly Plattner; and his brother James Birk. He is survived by: his daughters, Laurie Picha (Tom) of Oswego, Joyce Lungstrom (Gregg) of Woodford, Virginia and Jessica Emerson (Erik) of Amana, Iowa; and his sister Diane Schoneboom (Fred) of Plainwell, Michigan. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Safe Haven in South Amana, their favorite animal rescue.
