He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Petersen and Harriet Petersen (Henricksen); his daughter Tammy; his brother Allen; his brothers-in-law, Ray Raser and Carlie Seamer; and his father-in-law Donald.
He is survived by: his wife Diana McGinnis; his children, Ted (Sarah) of Adel, IA and Tracy of Davenport; his grandchildren, Tavian, Kiara, Kasch and Blake; his sisters, Judy Seamer of Clinton and Susan Raser of Clinton; his sister-in-law Lavonne Petersen of Goose Lake; his grandchild Kimberlee Shittu; and his great grandchild Hakeem.
