She was predeceased by : her parents, William McDaniel and Mary McDaniel (Chromy); her husband James S. Hanks; her daughters, Susan Baak, Patricia King and Jane Johnson Hinkel; her sons-in-law, Dale Baak and Rodney Johnson; and her siblings, William (Bill), Ed McDaniel, Katie McIntosh and Margaret Baldwin.
She is survived by : her grandchildren, Lisa Steffen of Ute, Iowa, Eric Johnson (Mark Parker) of Dallas, Texas, Ryan King (Keri) of Mondamin, Iowa, Scott Johnson (Mia) of San Bernardino, California, Kyle King (Erin) of Wentzville, Missouri and Reagan Barry (Ben) of Carlisle, Iowa.; her sister Adeline Furne of Missouri Valley, Iowa; and her sons-in-law, Roger Johnson of Ute, Iowa, Larry King (Donna) of Missouri Valley, Iowa and Stan Hinkel of Castana, Iowa. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
