Palmer Sr. in Mitchellville, Iowa, born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on July 14, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Palmer and Ruby Palmer; his wife Sally Palmer; his son Randy Palmer; and his brother Robert Palmer.
He is survived by: his children, James Rodney Palmer, Jr., Jerry Palmer (Kathy) and Victoria Maxine Freel (Michael Hatchitte); his grandchildren, Jason Palmer, Shawn Palmer, Josh Freel (Chantel), Scarlet Hatchitte, Randy Palmer Jr. and Heather Purscell-Rife; his great grandchildren, Noah, Bentley, Adrien, Ty, Brendan, Kailey, Miranda, Talicia, Jakijah and Aaron; and his sisters, Beverly Schoondyke and Joann Martin. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
There will be a graveside service at Laurel Hill Cemetery on Monday, July 20, 2020 beginning at 11:00 a. m. Due to the coronavirus, the family strongly encourages guests to please wear masks and social distance as much as possible.
