She was predeceased by: her husband Gene Bilstad; her son Tom Bilstad; her parents, Ed Gommels and Pearl Gommels (Freisner); her siblings, Glenn Gommels, Dale Gommels, Roy Gommels, Merle Gommels and Donna Gottschalk; and her grandsons, Eric and Michael Bilstad.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Minier (Don) of Ringsted, RaeAnn Lang (Jim) of Urbandale, Linda Eklund (Dan) of Huxley and Sue Dooley (Steve) of Grimes; her daughter-in-law Jennifer Bilstad of Somers; and her siblings, Joyce Ness of Bedford, Shirley Brown of Riceville and Darrel Gommels of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.
