He was predeceased by : his parents, Minor G. Ruggles and Ressie Ruggles (Estes); his wife Eunice; and his sisters, Lucille Chapman and Philora Alda Yardley.

He is survived by : his children, Randy Ruggles (Carol) of Mt. Pleasant and Ann Tillman (Curt) of Rockford; his grandchildren, Andrea, Lee and Josiah; his stepgrandchildren, Ryan and Reed Russell; his great grandchildren, Callee and Enoch; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Zach, Klair and Mary Rose Russell.

Memorials may be directed to Calvary Baptist Church and Gideon's International in his memory.
