She was predeceased by: her parents, William P. Drahaus and Agnes Maeglin Drahaus; her husband Tony; her daughter Ruth Carthey Smit; her siblings, Elmer, Donald, LaVern, William and Delores Heussner; and her son-in-law Bob Nietzel.
She is survived by: her former spouse Antoon 'Tony' Smit Jr.; her daughter Sandra Nietzel of Muscatine; her grandchildren, Sara Guldenpfennig (Matt), Joel Nietzel (Pam), Todd Nietzel (Kim), Josh Carthey (Amber) and Ryan Carthey (Aaron); and her great grandchildren, Courtney, Evan, Allison, Emily, Caitlyn and Ella.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church.
